The 7th International Conference on Language and Education 2021
(The 7th ICLE 2021)
“Evaluating Language Learning and Education in Turbulent Times”
Introduction
We are facing an unprecedented teaching context right now, one characterized by an ongoing pandemic, economic turmoil, social unrest, intricate family responsibilities, and heightened student stress and anxiety, among other significant factors. This term will not bring the usual coming together, in person, on campus / school. Nor our classroom is the same: many of us will teach in remote or online environments. Clearly, where, when, and how we teach is vary from our typical patterns and require a different mix of pedagogies and tools. How we engage these turbulent times in language learning and education needs to be evaluated.
Therefore, Association of Language Teachers in Southeast Asia (ALTSA) initiates the 7th International Conference on Language and Education 2021 (The 7th ICLE 2021) upon a theme “Evaluating Language Learning and Education in Turbulent Times” as the platform of intellectual sharing on information and experiences pertaining to the afore-mentioned issues as well as to strengthen communication amongst faculty members, administrators, policy makers, researchers, and students at different layers of educational settings.
